yeah about one in 5 or 6 here, so i killed 100 plus squirrels, did loops around all of Freemarch, there are like 4 squirrels along the road next to the fire ones...

That place has a random spawn of approx. 12-15 critters, just run around the building once. The critters are as mentioned random, so clear the spawn everytime. You can get rabbit, coyote and squirrel tears. The nice thing is that one round takes about 30 seconds and respawn is just a few minutes. The tears count towards the achievement, its tested. Droprate was as usual about 1 in 5.

This far and away the best location to finish this achievement. Got it completed in 20 minutes or so. Just follow Marodex's tips.

I'm leveling a guardian in Silverwood currently, and I am getting credit for the tears here. I don't know if that's a new thing, or if it's bugged or something. But I thought I should let you all know I'm getting credit in Silverwood for this achieve (there seems to be a lot of of squirrels right around the path from Silverwood to Gloamwood).

Pain in the ass to get.
I made a videotutorial for it though, check it out:

I am not exactly sure of the respawn timer for critters, but it seems to be around three minutes? They all spawn in the area you see them in, they don't wander far from there.

Below is a link to an image of the patrol path that I discovered near the end of my squirrel hunting. These may not be exact, as I am going purely off of memory. If you start at the southern most circle, and then travel North and then West, then East doing the ones on the bottom back to the original, you will make your full circle by the time the original squirrel respawns. Hopefully this will relieve some of the headache that hunting down these pesky little buggers can cause.

I got squirrel tears in another zone and it did NOT give me this achievement.

Clarifying, I did not get credit for this achievement, I got most of them in Freemarch.

You can farm in Freemarch nearby Rill Pond around [6561,5165]. There are three or four squirrels around there that spawn every now and then.

Wandered around in Freemarch spamming the macro "/target squirell". Took me a little more than 15 minutes to loot the last 16 tears I missed to complete this achievement.

When you're looking for a specific something, do not forget the /target xxx command.

The squirrels who will drop the tears have sparkling eyes. Not kidding.

Not true. they have no sparks in their eyes, it's only you and your conscience to deal with.

This is a serious !@#$ed one.. No good farm places. Fire once doesnt drop tears, run around and kill them!

As mentioned above in the description, the tears do not need to be looted in Freemarch. I found plenty of good spots to farm Squirrels tears in Iron Pine Peaks and Stillmoor.
